Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for Como star Nico Paz, who moved to Serie A in the summer from the Spanish capital in the summer, as the Italian tactician dubbed him ‘the future of Real Madrid’ during a radio appearance on Monday.
Paz, who has also been linked with a permanent transfer to reigning Serie A champions Inter in the summer, has enjoyed a successful start to senior football with Como, where he has registered two goals and three assists in the league so far.

His impressive performances have also resulted in a call-up to the Argentina national team. The 20-year-old made his debut in October, registering an assist for Lionel Messi after coming on as a second-half substitute in a 6-0 win over Bolivia.
“Paz is a player we follow a lot, he is really good, he’s a great talent,” Ancelotti said about the Como-owned youngster, who could still return to Madrid in the future.
“This year of training away from Real is doing him a lot of good. We believe he is a player who can be the future of Real Madrid,” Ancelotti told Rai Radio 1.
Paz joined Como on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window, but his deal also included a buy-back option for Madrid, who could bring him back to the Bernabeu for a fee of around €12m.
