Arda Guler’s current situation at Real Madrid remains highly uncertain. Despite being regarded as a player with immense potential by both the club’s coaching staff and board, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting line-up.
Carlo Ancelotti, when asked about his role in the team, has consistently remained reserved in his comments, offering little insight into the Turkish youngster’s long-term prospects.
This season, Guler has found himself primarily limited to brief appearances towards the end of matches. On rare occasions when Ancelotti decides to rotate his squad, he is given a chance to start.
One such instance came against Real Sociedad, where he was on the pitch for 84 minutes after enduring five consecutive games without playing. However, his performance in that match was largely uninspiring, as he failed to make a significant impact.
The adaptation process for Guler appears to be far from smooth. The tactical demands placed on him by Ancelotti seem to be a challenge, particularly when he is deployed out wide and tasked with defensive duties.
His physical attributes have also been questioned, with many feeling that he lacks the necessary strength to impose himself at the highest level.
While his overall game time has increased, his goal tally this season remains modest, with just three goals to his name. However, he has shown improvement in providing assists, having already registered five.

According to SPORT, the relationship between Guler and Ancelotti appears to have changed over time, with the bond between them seemingly not as strong as it once was.
There is a growing sense that the Italian manager is in no rush to accelerate his development, instead maintaining that the youngster needs more time to adjust to the demands of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Meanwhile, in Turkey, there has been widespread frustration over Guler’s limited opportunities at Madrid.
Many believe that his situation is not being handled correctly, with some even calling for him to leave the Spanish giants in search of more playing time elsewhere.
A notable comparison can be drawn between Guler and another highly-rated young talent, Endrick. Both players are currently on the fringes of their respective squads, yet their approaches to the situation are vastly different.
The Brazilian appears to be more patient, making the most of the limited chances he receives and showing glimpses of his potential.
In contrast, Guler has struggled to deliver standout performances and often gives off an air of frustration. While Endrick continues to shine when given the opportunity, Guler’s influence on the pitch seems to be fading.
