Manchester United suffered their seventh loss of the Premier League season after an underwhelming display against Bournemouth at Old Trafford yesterday.
The Red Devils were not clinical in front of goal, and the Cherries capitalised to secure a 3-0 victory.
Manager Ruben Amorim unsurprisingly decided to rotate his starting XI once more with six changes.
Tyrell Malacia and Joshua Zirkzee got the nod in the line-up. The Dutch duo failed to capitalise with disappointing performances.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho was only a substitute for a third consecutive appearance. His performance was pretty good in over 35 minutes.
The Argentina international had 27 touches and an 84 percent passing accuracy. He created four chances for his teammates and won two duels.
Garnacho should have scored after being put through on goal, but it was still a good outing.
The 20-year-old ended up with a 7/10 Sofascore rating. Amorim must start Garnacho when United face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Boxing Day.
The attacker, who has an ‘X-factor‘ according to former United manager Erik ten Hag, should line up alongside Amad Diallo as number tens.
Bruno Fernandes could partner Manuel Ugarte in central midfield.
The other option could be to pair up Garnacho and Fernandes together. Diallo could move to right wing-back with Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui on the left flank.
Either way, Amorim should find a place for the United graduate for Thursday’s trip to Molineux.
United have dropped nine points behind the final guaranteed Champions League spot after the weekend defeat.
The upcoming game against Wolves on the road is a must-win to keep their slim chances alive of making the top four.
