Alvaro Morata, who recently left Galatasaray, has already taken to the pitch with his new Italian club, Como 1907.

The Spanish striker featured in the Coppa Italia clash against Südtirol, a match his team won 3-1 at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. Morata came on in the 66th minute, replacing Douvikas. Although his time on the field was brief, it was enough to impress his manager, Cesc Fabregas:

I didn't plan to play him this early, but he convinced me. We wanted to ease him in, but he's feeling good and persuaded me to put him on. We'll see how things develop from here.

This first appearance marks a fresh start for the Spaniard, who is hoping to regain his form and confidence after a mixed spell at Galatasaray.
