Monza chairman Adriano Galliani is looking around for a new head coach and ‘half-jokingly’ offered the job to Massimiliano Allegri, reports claim.

The 56-year-old Italian coach’s second era at Juventus came to a dramatic conclusion following his furious outburst after the Coppa Italia final win over Atalanta on May 15th, bringing an end to his three-year spell in the Piedmont capital.

Allegri’s agent was recently seen meeting representatives from Al-Ittihad but his close friend and advisor Giovanni Galeone suggested that he’d stay in Europe for the next step of his career. A legal battle could also take place with Juventus regarding the nature of his acrimonious dismissal.

Allegri offered Monza job?

Corriere della Sera via TMW details how Raffaele Palladino has decided to move on from Monza this summer, prompting Galliani and the club’s directors to start searching for a new coach to take over.

Alessandro Nesta and Alessio Dionisi have both offered themselves to the Biancorossi, and Andrea Pirlo could emerge as a candidate as well, but in recent days Galliani ‘half-jokingly’ offered the job to Allegri, who is waiting for the legal battle with Juventus to conclude before taking on his next role.
