Referee Daniele Doveri has won praise for getting the major decisions right in yesterday’s Serie A clash between Parma and Inter Milan.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, argue that Inter’s second goal was rightly allowed, and there were no fouls in the penalty area.
Daniele Doveri was the referee in charge of yesterday’s Serie A match between Parma and Inter Milan.
There were a few decisions that the experienced official had to make.

The first notable decision for Daniele Doveri yesterday was on Inter’s second goal.
There was a hint of handball from Marcus Thuram before the Frenchman’s scuffed finish. But Doveri correctly saw that there was no foul.
Then, it was Pontus Almqvist who played Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the buildup to that goal.
Meanwhile, Parma had a couple penalty appeals in the second half.
Firstly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan made contact with substitute Jacob Ondrejka while challenging for the ball.
However, the Gazzetta note, the Armenian did make contact with the ball. Followed by a relatively light contact with the Parma player.
Then, there was a hint of a push by Inter defender Carlos Augusto on the back of Drissa Camara. However, the Gazzetta argue, there was nowhere near enough for it to be a foul.
Lastly, the Gazzetta argue, it was correct to give Nicola Zalewski no more than a yellow card for a late foul on Mateo Pellegrino.
