After a long transfer saga, Liverpool have at last got their man after signing striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United on a long-term deal.
The Magpies had been stubborn as they looked to try and keep hold of one of their star players but the Swede's instance on leaving coupled with a British record £125 million have finally seen the player join the Premier League champions.
Arne Slot's team have not been afraid to spend this summer and have now landed the player who scored 27 goals in 42 games for Newcastle last season.
"I feel amazing," the player was quoted by the club's in-house media.
"It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it.
"I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there."
Isak will wear the number 9 shirt for Liverpool and could potentially make his debut after the international break when the Reds visit Turf Moor to take on Burnley.
