The most recent development in the summer transfer window for FC Barcelona has been rather surprising. That particular development was the departure of Inigo Martinez to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr. However, the Middle Eastern side might not be done just yet.
Their latest target could potentially be yet another Barça player it seems. Despite having already signed Martinez, they could return for another one of Hansi Flick’s players.

According to Sacha Tavolieri’s exclusive update, Al-Nassr is now considering a move for Barça forward Ferran Torres. The Spanish forward, aged 25, is seen as the kind of profile that the Saudi Arabian side is looking to sign.
Their objective is reportedly to bring in a versatile forward who can also be deployed as a centre-forward when needed. The reason for this, as per the tweet, is to bring in someone that can replace Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo in certain games and Torres appears to be the kind of profile that they want to bring in.
Moreover, as per the same exclusive report, Barça has even opened the door for this particular departure. However, it would seem unlikely that the Catalan club would ultimately end up agreeing to such a late departure.
After all, squad depth is essential for La Blaugrana considering their objectives for the upcoming season. If they truly want to compete for every single title possible, it will be crucial to have as many options as possible and players like Ferran Torres are hard to come by in today’s market. Moreover, recent updates have suggested that the club does not seem to be open to the idea of letting go of the player.
