The management of Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah has quietly begun the process of recruiting a new Saudi goalkeeper in anticipation of the absence of their first-choice shot-stopper, Édouard Mendy. The Senegalese star will join his national team to compete in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco.According to the daily Arriyadiyah, the club has drawn up a shortlist of three local goalkeepers from which they will choose to strengthen their roster during the ongoing summer transfer window.
