Weeks after all the speculation started, Ajax have finally made a significant step towards signing Real Valladolid winger Raúl Moro. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax have reached a personal agreement with the 22-year-old, offering him a four-and-a-half-year contract at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Raúl Moro kick started his career in Espanyol’s academy before joining LaLiga giants FC Barcelona. Serie A side Lazio bought the forward for €6m in 2019, before shipping him on to Valladolid for less than half of that fee last summer. Ajax are reportedly nearing a deal for Moro, but they’re offering just €7m, rather than Valladolid’s €10m asking price.
An agreement appears imminent, with the player keen on the move. The Spain youth international can put pen to paper on a contract valid until 2029 at Ajax, with the chance to slot straight into the first-team. Ajax return to Eredivisie action this Saturday when they take on Waalwijk following the winter break.
