Abdellah Ouazane, a 16-year-old rising star from Morocco, was close to making a dream move to Real Madrid.
As reported before, all signs pointed towards the deal being sealed, especially after he chose not to renew his contract with Ajax. But just when it looked like everything was done, things took an unexpected turn.
Ouazane had travelled to Madrid and even underwent medical tests as part of the routine signing process. However, Real Madrid’s doctors noticed some issues during the check-up.
Despite the youngster later passing similar tests in Amsterdam without any problems showing up, the Spanish giants decided not to go ahead with the transfer.
Real Madrid stuck by their medical team’s advice and chose to walk away from the deal.
Days after the failed transfer, Ouazane addressed the situation in a calm and composed manner on social media.

In an Instagram story, he posted a short clip of himself training, along with a message that read, “If it is meant for you, it will find you.”
The post suggests that the young forward is staying focused and not letting the setback affect his mindset.
Ajax, his current club, now believe there is a chance he may stay with them after all. With Real Madrid stepping back, the door is open for the Dutch club to convince Ouazane to commit to a new deal.
However, they are not the only ones interested. Several other clubs are now looking closely at the talented teenager’s situation, hoping to take advantage of the stalled Madrid move.
Whether he stays at Ajax or finds a new challenge elsewhere, Ouazane’s next step will be followed closely. One thing is clear that his journey is only just beginning despite his failed Real Madrid move.
