Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi has made it clear that he feels completely at home at the German club.
Speaking during a media round at the Club World Cup, the 23-year-old opened up about his special connection with BVB – a club he can imagine playing for until the end of his career.
"I’ve always said that I love this club. I was already a fan when I was a young player – my family too," Adeyemi said.
"When I just think of Marco [Reus], who gave everything for the club and has always stayed loyal, I think it would be crazy to say that I want to follow in his footsteps. There are still a few years to go until then, but like I said, I feel good here, and if I were to play for this club forever, I definitely wouldn’t regret it," he added.
At the same time, however, the Germany international acknowledged that it’s impossible to predict what the future might bring.
"You never know where the path will lead, what life will bring, but for now, everything is good here," he said.
Adeyemi joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg for a reported €30 million in the summer of 2022.
