AC Milan are keen to sign Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
However, the Serie A outfit are only interested in a loan deal with an option to buy included, as per BBC Sport.
Milan are willing to pay an initial £3.47 million loan fee, with an option to buy next summer for £34.7m.
It is unclear whether United, who reportedly value Hojlund at £40m, will accept their proposal.
The Red Devils need to make sales to remain compliant with the Premier League’s financial rules.
They are open to offers for Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Marcus Rashford has already left to join Barcelona on loan.
Hojlund has publicly expressed his desire to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford, but he will face increased competition with Benjamin Sesko close to joining.
United have agreed terms with RB Leipzig, and Sesko has flown to England to undergo a medical.
The Slovenian is expected to be introduced to the Old Trafford crowd before Saturday’s lunchtime friendly with Fiorentina.
Hojlund joined United in 2023, but has failed to make an impact at the club.
He bagged only four goals in 32 Premier League appearances, as Ruben Amorim’s side finished 15th last season – their lowest position since the league was rebranded.
