AC Milan are reportedly monitoring Stade Rennais striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to Sky Italia.

Kalimuendo, a product of Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy, joined Rennes in 2022 for €20 million and has become a reliable source of goals.

The 23-year-old has scored 40 times in 112 matches across all competitions for his current club.

He also finished third in the Ligue 1 Golden Boot race last season, behind Ousmane Dembele and Mason Greenwood.

Rennes’ sporting director Loic Desire recently hinted that Kalimuendo could be available this summer, and Milan are now keeping tabs on the Frenchman.

Per RMC Sport, Rennes are expected to demand around €30-35 million if they choose to part ways with their leading scorer.

He is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig and Villarreal.

Milan are set to step up their search for a new centre-forward next month and have been linked with several players.

Goncalo Ramos and Artem Dovbyk have been linked with Milan. Dusan Vlahovic is their primary target.

Milan are also expected to sign a new midfielder before the transfer window closes and are keen on Ardon Jashari despite Club Brugge proving to be tough negotiators.

The Rossoneri have had multiple offers rejected by their Belgian counterparts for Jashari, but there is still optimism that an agreement can be reached.

Off the back of a 4-2 win over Liverpool, Milan continued their impressive pre-season campaign by thrashing Perth Glory 9-0 in Thursday’s meeting at HBF Park.
