Head coach Massimiliano Allegri wants to add a versatile option to his squad before the close of the transfer window.

Nkunku has struggled for regular minutes under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea. The French forward has not been able to secure a starting role and is now open to leaving the club.

French international linked with several European clubs

The 27-year-old has drawn attention from other major clubs, including Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. Milan have now joined the race as they look to strengthen their attack with a proven performer.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig, where he built a strong reputation in the Bundesliga. The French forward recorded 15 goals and five assists across all competitions for Chelsea during the previous season.

His record also includes contributions in domestic tournaments and appearances at the Club World Cup.

The French international is highly valued for his technical skill and flexibility.

He can operate as a striker, an attacking midfielder or in wide positions, which makes him a useful option for any system.

Nkunku is particularly effective in one-on-one situations, using his pace and strength to get past defenders.

He is also capable of creating chances for teammates through intelligent passing in advanced areas.

If Milan secure his signature, they would gain a player who offers creativity, dribbling quality and finishing ability.

His arrival would provide depth and enhance the team’s attacking options.

Chelsea, meanwhile, remains open to negotiations as they continues to reshape their squad under Maresca.

Discussions are still at an early stage, but Milan sees Nkunku as a key target to boost their forward line ahead of the new season.
