AC Milan and Juventus are considering a sensational swap deal that could result in Theo Hernandez and Dusan Vlahovic switching clubs this summer, according to SportMediaset.

Both players are entering the final year of their contracts, and neither club wants to risk losing a valuable asset on a free transfer next summer.

Vlahovic has been strongly linked with a move away from Juventus over the past few years, with the Premier League touted as a likely destination, but nothing has materialised.

Hernandez has had his ups and downs at Milan, but he’s still considered a valuable part of the squad, even though he came close to joining Atletico Madrid.

Vlahovic ended last season with 15 goals in 41 games across all competitions. He hit double figures in the league, netting 10 times in 29 Serie A games.

New Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has always been a fan of Vlahovic, so a reunion makes sense. In return, Juventus would acquire an experienced full-back who would add attacking flair to the left flank.

The finances involved in a potential deal aren’t prohibitive to the deal. Both players are valued at roughly €30 million, although wage demands could be a sticking point for Milan.

Hernandez reportedly wants €6m net per season, which shouldn’t be a problem for Juve. However, Vlahovic is currently earning €12m per year at Juventus, which Milan will struggle to match.

Unless the Serbian striker is willing to accept a pay cut, the transfer may not progress beyond mere speculation, and each party would be forced to explore other options.
