Today we play Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish Cup with a chance to scoop another clean sweep of domestic honours.
Eight years ago we faced the Dons in the Scottish Cup final with a treble also on offer albeit an iconic Invincible one.
Of course that was a once in a lifetime event and it most likely won’t happen again, but winning another treble is firmly in our thoughts as we look to further consolidate our place as not only the dominant force but also the most successful football club in the Scottish game.

Despite putting five or more goals past the Dons on three occasions including that thumping 6-0 Premier Sports League cup semi-final win over them at the national stadium back in November Jimmy Thelin’s side will still prove a tough nut to crack this afternoon.
They have nothing to lose but everything to gain as the season comes to a close and will looking to finish on a massive high. The Dons will take great encouragement after witnessing sides such as Newcastle and Crystal Palace both won cup competitions down south this season upsetting the so called bigger clubs in the process. Even Tottenham won a trophy but that was down to Big Ange.

Street parties are not a problem for councils in Liverpool, Newcastle and now two in London and if Aberdeen do win the cup today you can be sure there will be one up there too. And the council will bot be sniping about litter problems.
However Celtic has the ability and know-how when it comes to winning trophies and I’m confident that this afternoon we will fully prove our worth on the day. Then we’ll have treble number nine to celebrate.

Brendan asked for as much noise as possible, the Green Brigade have asked for everyone to wear the hoops, if you have a ticket enjoy the game and for the rest watching on television enjoy yourselves amongst fellow Celtic supporters and hopefully we’ll all be celebrating come 5pm.
