The headlines continue to rave about the strong possibility of Real Madrid bolstering their squad with the arrivals of Alphonso Davies and Kylian Mbappe.

Yet, amidst the flurry of transfer activity and high-profile targets, it is easy to overlook the imminent arrival of Endrick, who will finally make the leap to the Spanish capital this summer.

Despite having inked his contract with Real Madrid some time ago, the Brazilian prodigy’s name seems to have slipped under the radar of many fans.

But considering the form he has displayed over the past few weeks, the teenage sensation promises to be a top reinforcement for Real Madrid.

Indeed, at the tender age of 17, Endrick is already busy breaking barriers, as he concluded the most recent international break with two goals in two games for the Brazilian national team.

Following his exceptional form with both Palmeiras and Brazil, the youngster has experienced a price hike in his transfer value.

South America’s most valuable teenager

Now, after a recent update by Transfermarkt, Endrick’s market value has risen to a staggeringly impressive €55 million.

The young forward has been handed a €10 million boost, with his market value previously set at €45 million.

As Endrick proceeds to grow in importance, with goal contributions against heavyweights like Spain and England, the update hardly comes across as a surprise.

He will be hoping to increase his market value by following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Vinicius impressively solidified a market value of €70 million at just the age of 18, which made him the most valuable South American teenager in history

Endrick will be looking to follow suit by breaking that record before arriving at the Merengues. He will have one season at Real Madrid to surpass Vinicius’ record.

A glimpse into the future

Facing off against Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu, Endrick provided the perfect appetizer for things to come, as he got his scoring underway at Real Madrid’s home stadium in emphatic fashion.

With remarkable composure just outside the box, Endrick unleashed a powerful volley that whizzed past Unai Simon, leveling the scores with a precise low bullet.

The South American only had one half to make an impression, but made the most of his opportunity, just as he did against England, having scored the winner after coming on in the 71st minute.

In his 45 minutes of action at the Bernabeu, Endrick completed 100% of his dribbles and long balls, made one key pass, and had one shot on target.

Fans will be eager to see the 17-year-old star emulate his goalscoring success once he finally dons the Madrid jersey.

Expected to receive the #9 jersey

After Karim Benzema departed the club last summer, the iconic number #9 jersey has remained vacant at Real Madrid.

However, reports have argued that Endrick is still the front-runner to wear the number nine jersey for Real Madrid next year.

Owing to his natural proclivity to poach inside the final third and operate as a true center forward, it appears feasible for him to be entrusted with the kit.

While Kylian Mbappe is also a candidate for the number, it is likely he will receive the number 10 shirt with Luka Modric’s exit seemingly imminent.
