Manchester City Women v Arsenal Women

There’s a huge game at the top of the Women’s Super League this weekend as table-toppers Manchester City host Arsenal.

A win for City would all-but secure the title for the Etihad outfit knowing that two wins from their final two games would seal the trophy.

Chelsea’s shock defeat to Liverpool in midweek means that even if the Blues win their remaining three matches, it wouldn’t be enough, with destiny in City’s hands as they currently sit six points ahead at the summit.

History is also stacked against the Gunners as well this weekend with the north London side having not won at City since 2017.

With Alessia Russo, Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema in attack though, it would be foolish to count Arsenal out in what’s sure to be a thriller.

Union Berlin v Bochum

With things wrapped up nicely at the top of the Bundesliga, most of the intrigue in the German top-flight comes at the bottom of the table.

Germany is unique in the way that promotion and relegation works meaning that whoever finishes in 16th place – third from bottom – faces whoever finishes third in the 2. Bundesliga in a two-legged play-off.

Currently that position in the Bundesliga is taken up by Mainz who sit on 28 points.

In the two places immediately above them though, are Bochum and Union Berlin, both on 30 points.

Those two sides meet each other this Sunday in what is essentially, for the winner, a pass to stay in the first division for another season.

It really couldn’t be any bigger.

Arsenal v Bournemouth

A remarkable stat was doing the rounds last weekend about just how under the radar Bournemouth have been under Andoni Iraola.

In the Cherries last 25 games, the south coast side have the fifth-best record in the division earning a stunning 42 points.

That’s more than Manchester United, more than Tottenham, more than Newcastle and only three less than Champions League-chasing Aston Villa.

With that in mind, it could be a huge weekend in the title race as Bournemouth go to Arsenal with an upset on their mind.

The Gunners are currently top of the table, a point ahead of Manchester City, but having played a game more than Pep Guardiola’s side.

It means that any dropped points for Mikel Arteta’s men could all-but hand the reigning champions yet another title.

It’s going to be an absolutely fascinating watch.

There will be three sets of fans fervently watching what goes on in Girona this weekend.

The Catalan side take on their near neighbours Barcelona with any dropped points handing the title to Real Madrid.

A win against Cádiz this weekend will see Carlo Ancelotti’s side go 12 clear, meaning that even a draw for Barça leaves them without any possibility of catching the capital club.

The last time Girona faced the Blaugrana it was a stunning 4-2 win for the minnows.

Two teams will be hoping for the same result this time around.

Last day of the Championship

It’s all come down to this in the Championship.

After 45 games, this is the final weekend of the season with so much still to play for.

Ipswich are a point away from automatic promotion with the Tractor Boys taking on already-relegated Huddersfield.

Leeds meanwhile are three points behind the East Anglia side and host fourth-place Southampton.

There’s still one play-off place left up for grabs with Hull just outside the top six, two points behind West Brom. The Tigers go to Plymouth whilst the Baggies face Preston.

Plymouth are one of the sides at the bottom that are in danger of going down to League One on the final day with the Pilgrims in a battle with Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn to avoid the drop.

It’a going to be a genuinely brilliant final day and one you simply cannot miss.
