Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has been named as the fastest player in Premier League history.
The Dutchman has recently returned to the Tottenham side after a spell on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.
Micky van de Ven has made an instant impact at Spurs and has quickly established himself as a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s side.
The 22-year-old has adjusted to life in the Premier League with ease and his recovery pace has proven to be a huge asset for Spurs this term.

Some may have worried that the hamstring injury he picked up in November could affect his blistering recovery speed.
But that certainly hasn’t been the case since his return and during our 3-2 win over Brentford, Ven de Ven recorded the quickest-ever sprint in the Premier League.
According to the Premier League, Van de Ven clocked an astonishing speed of 37.38 km/h against Brentford.
This now stands as the highest speed a player has registered since data started being collected in 2020-21.
Former Spurs defender Kyle Walker previously held the record after clocking up a speed of 37.31 for Manchester City back in May last year.
The Premier League also shared an astonishing statistic comparing Van de Ven’s pace to that of Usain Bolt.
They wrote: ” Van de Ven’s blistering pace against Brentford was clocked at 10.38m per second, or 23.23 miles per hour.
“When sprint star Usain Bolt set the current 100m world record in 2009, his average speed was 10.44m per second, or 23.35mph (37.58 km/h).”

Tottenham fans were aware of Van de Ven’s blistering pace before he joined for a £43 million fee from Wolfsburg over the summer.
His recovery speed consistently gets us out of some tricky situations at the back and he was arguably our best player last time out at Everton.
The 22-year-old has undoubtedly been one of the signings of the season so far and it’s brilliant to see him back in the starting XI.
It would appear that Van de Ven is over the worst of his hamstring injury and after clocking up the fastest sprint in Premier League history, it will be fascinating to see if the defender can break his own record.
