Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has been offered a mouthwatering two-year contract by Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with a potential exit from the Etihad Stadium this summer, with the Brazilian international subject to interest from the Saudi Pro League, alongside Manchester City teammates Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker and Matheus Nunes.

Ederson, who has been at Manchester City since a £35 million move from Benfica in 2017, has won six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League since his arrival in east Manchester.

The shot-stopper missed the Sky Blues’ defining matches against both West Ham and Manchester United in May due to a facial fracture, with Ederson’s final Manchester City match having potentially come against Tottenham in north London, where the goalkeeper was forced off due to injury.

Ederson made 43 starts for Pep Guardiola’s side during the recent 2023/24 campaign, and has made 332 appearances since swapping the Portuguese top-flight for the Premier League.

The Brazil international has faced competition for the first-choice spot at the Etihad Stadium in recent months, amid emerging competition from German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, who recently committed his future to Manchester City by signing a new contract.

Etihad bosses are also prepared to offer Ederson an improved Manchester City deal, although an offer from Saudi Arabia could tempt the 30-year-old to complete a big-money switch to the Middle East this summer.

The goalkeeper has been offered a mouthwatering two-year deal worth €60 million by Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, according to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo.

The Saudi Arabian club, who also employ Cristiano Ronaldo, are awaiting the ‘green light’ from Ederson ahead of opening negotiations with Manchester City, as Al-Nassr seek to agree a transfer fee with the Premier League champions.

Manchester City sold two players to the Saudi Pro League last summer, with both Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte moving to the region from the Etihad Stadium for sizeable transfer fees.

Mahrez completed a transfer to Al-Ahli and Laporte signed for Al-Nassr – the club interested in signing goalkeeper Ederson ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
