2nd Barcelona star misses training ahead of Como clash | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona played no part in group training on Saturday.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Dani Olmo as the player in question.

The subject of personnel woes has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 48 hours.

This comes, first, after word was forthcoming that Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out of Sunday’s Joan Gamper Trophy match owing to injury.

The Pole, it is reported, could also be forced to sit out the opening rounds of the new La Liga season.

As alluded to above, though, Lewandowski is not the only member of Barcelona’s squad whom Hansi Flick and his staff are sweating over at present.

As per a report from MD:

‘Dani Olmo did not train with his teammates this Saturday morning as a precaution due to the muscle strain that already kept him out of the group during Friday’s session.’

Whilst Olmo has as of yet not been definitively ruled out against Como, his participation appears to have been thrown into serious doubt.
