After losing out on the signing of the Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, FC Barcelona are still looking to strengthen their forward line by adding a new left winger. For this purpose, the Catalans are now being linked with two big names, i.e., Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford.

Both these players can end up leaving their current clubs this summer, but the Englishman is more likely to do so as he is not in the plans of the Manchester United head coach, Ruben Amorim.

However, Barcelona is not the only club interested in him, and some big clubs from Saudi Arabia also have their eyes set on the forward.

In fact, Mundo Deportivo reports that one such Saudi side had even made a big offer for the English star, reaching up to €40 million. However, the winger has already passed up on this offer as he dreams of playing for the Blaugrana club and is still waiting for them.

The 27-year-old Manchester United academy graduate is also willing to lower his salary to be able to play for the Catalan club, and this might be essential, keeping in view his current high wages and the limited FFP margin that Barcelona have for new signings.

The Englishman wants to spend the pre-season with Barcelona

The Englishman can leave the Red Devils on a loan deal, with a purchase option set at €30-40 million, and the player is eager to resolve his future as soon as possible.

One reason for his eagerness is that he wants to spend a good part of the pre-season with the Blaugrana team, as he knows this can turn out to be pivotal if he wants to impress the coach and fans with his performances next season.

However, unlike Marcus Rashford, the Catalans are not in as much of a hurry as they still have to solve their FFP problems and return to the 1:1 status.

Hansi Flick begins his preseason training tomorrow, on Monday, and Barcelona will leave for their pre-season tour of Asia on 24th July.
