Milan played for over an hour with 10 men but managed to hold on for a 1-0 win over Udinese on Saturday.
Scorers: Chukwueze 13′
The Rossoneri got off to the perfect start as Samuel Chukwueze scored after 13 minutes to give the hosts a lead, finishing off a brilliant team move.
But things got a little more difficult for Milan on the half hour mark as Tijjani Reijnders was given a straight red card for a challenge on Sandi Lovrić when the Udinese man was through on goal.
Kingsley Ehizibue almost made that man advantage pay late on but the midfielder’s goal was ruled out for a marginal offside.
Into the second half and Udinese threw everything at the San Siro side but couldn’t find a way past this dogged Milan defence.
Mike Maignan was forced into a stunning save on the hour mark whilst Tammy Abraham went up the other end and missed a sitter before being forced off with a shoulder injury.
Udinese thought they had equalised with virtually the last kick of the game but Christian Kabasele’s goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.
