According to Sky Germany, Zsolt Löw has emerged as one of the top candidates to take over from the recently-departed Pellegrino Matarazzo as the Stuttgart head coach.

The 43-year-old Hungarian was Thomas Tuchel’s assistant coach at Chelsea and was part of the team that won the Champions League a year ago. As per the report, Stuttgart have already began talks with Löw on Monday evening.

Löw is no stranger to the Bundesliga and German football. As a player, he represented Energie Cottbus, Hansa Rostock, Hoffenheim, and Mainz between 2022 and 2011. After retirement, Löw turned to coaching and kickstarted his career under the RB franchise. Before moving to join Tuchel at PSG, he worked under Adi Hütter at RB Salzburg as well as Ralf Rangnick and Ralph Hasenhüttl at RB Leipzig.

Sky’s sources also note that Adi Hütter, Sebastian Hoeneß, Gerardo Seoane and Peter Bosz are also potential options for Stuttgart.
