Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a proud father as his son Maximilian, has signed his first professional contract at AC Milan.

The Swede was only at United for a year and half but the charismatic legend of the game made quite the impact.

He played for some of the biggest clubs in the world such as FC Barcelona, Ajax, both Milan clubs and of course, Manchester United.

The now 42 year old won the League Cup and Europa League and scored a highly credible 29 goals in 53 games for the Old Trafford club between 2016 and 2017.

After leaving Manchester he went to LA Galaxy, scoring a hatful of goals in the process, before finally finishing his playing career at AC Milan where he is now a senior advisor to the side’s ownership.

The Sun report that perhaps the next generation of the Ibrahimovics is about to make his mark on the world stage.

“Manchester United legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s son Maximilian has signed his first professional contract.”

“The 17-year-old has agreed on a contract with his dad’s old side AC Milan.”

He has signed a deal until 2027 and he will play for “Milan’s brand new ‘Futuro’ youth squad in the third tier of Italian football.”

Unlike his father who made his name as a giant yet silky centre forward, he is a pacy winger and he scored three goals in 19 appearances for the U18 side.

Perhaps one day he will join up with some of his father’s former teammates at United.

Kai Rooney, Wayne Rooney’s son and Jacey Carrick, Michael Carrick’s boy, are currently playing in the club’s under 14s.

Closer to the senior squad, Darren Fletcher’s children Jack and Tyler are representing the club’s under 18 side, and Jack played 45 minutes for the first team in a pre season match against Rosenborg last Monday. He will be hoping to make the club’s pre-season tour of the United States of America.
