Zinedine Zidane insists Luka Jović can play alongside Karim Benzema | OneFootball

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane insists that struggling striker Luka Jović still has a future at the club.

Jović has struggled to replicate his Eintracht Frankfurt form for Los Blancos, scoring just three goals in 27 appearances.

But despite Karim Benzema proving undroppable last season, Zidane believes both players could even compliment each other up front.

“They can play together,” he told reporters. “We’ll have many matches and in some matches we’ll play differently.

“Each match is different and you have to think about that. But I’ve never thought that Jović is incompatible with Benzema.

“I believe every player can contribute something and I work on ensuring all the players are ready during training.”

Real Madrid travel to Real Betis on Saturday in search of their first LaLiga win of the new season.
