Without a ‘fear clause’ in his loan deal, Real Madrid are ready to face Mallorca, headlined by on-loan Madrid forward Takefusa Kubo.
Kubo, who just turned 19 at the beginning of the month, has been an everyday fixture in Mallorca’s attack all season.
However, his three goals and three assists haven’t been enough for the club as they are in danger of being relegated, currently three points from safety with just eight games left to play.
In his pre-match press conference, manager Zinedine Zidane heaped the praise on his future asset.
“I think he’s having a good season. He’s playing a lot and that’s what we all wanted. He is a very interesting player, for the present and the future. I’m happy he’s doing well.
“Of course, if he were to stay at home tomorrow then that’d be better.
“But, I wish him the best and urge him to continue like this. His future, though, we won’t decide until the summer. That’s something for later.”
The former J-League sensation will be returning to Real Madrid at the end of the season, where he is under contract until 2024.
