If people want to continue labelling Zinedine Zidane as a fortunate coach, then he has no problem with it.
It is an accusation that has been directed at the Frenchman, despite enjoying some incredible success in the Real Madrid dugout.
In addition to a LaLiga title, he has also emerged victorious in all nine major finals of his club career.
But he has still been the subject of ‘lucky’ taunts, not that it bothers Zizou.
“That is what you think and I accept I may be lucky,” Zidane said on Friday when that question was put to him in a press conference.
“I’ve been fortunate in life. I have to be grateful and work for this.
“If you think that I’m lucky then that’s fine. It isn’t a problem.”
With 10 trophies to his name as a tactician, we can only wish we were as lucky as Zidane!
