Arsenal are six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the Gunners are exploring options to bolster the attack, but the club are not close to recruiting anyone.
Meanwhile, there could be some exits before the transfer deadline, and the Telegraph claims that Oleksandr Zinchenko is ‘expected’ to leave soon.
Borussia Dortmund have identified him as their top target to strengthen the left-back position after missing out on a loan deal for Renato Veiga from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Myles Lewis-Skelly picked up a knee injury last weekend. Arsenal may want to see the scan results before allowing Zinchenko to depart.
Lewis-Skelly was absent from the Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb last night due to injury. Arteta confirmed that he will be assessed in the next 24 hours.
If there is nothing serious, the Gunners could open the door for Zinchenko’s departure, considering they have Kieran Tierney and Riccardo Calafiori available.
Arsenal could be prepared to loan Zinchenko out for the remainder of the season, but they could demand an obligation to buy for £17 million in the summer, as per journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Zinchenko is unlikely to secure a regular starting role at Arsenal in the future, given the competition at left-back.
The £30 million signing could head for the exit door. It is unclear whether Dortmund will be willing to pay his £150,000 per week wages.
