Zhang Yet To Green Light Move For Borussia Dortmund’s Akanji & Inter Could Loan Lazio’s Acerbi Or Tottenham’s Tanganga, Gianluca Di Marzio Reports

Inter President Steven Zhang has yet to give the approval to invest in a move for Borussia Dortmund defendr Manuel Akanji, and Inter could instead try to sign Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi or Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga on loan.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports that the go-ahead from Zhang is still missing, and a loan move could be the option that the Nerazzurri pursue.

Akanji is a target, but with Dortmund not looking ready to lower their asking price by that much, the approval of the President would be needed to reinvest some of the fee received from Chelsea for Cesare Casadei in order to sign the Swiss international.

This has yet to arrive and Zhang could instead prioritize putting the fee for Casadei towards a budgetary surplus to meet the goal of a net transfer profit in the window.

If this is to be the case, then the Nerazzurri will look to make a loan deal before the end of the window rather than trying to sign Akanji, and in this respect Lazio’s Acerbi would be one of the main options whilst Tottenham’s Tanganga is another player they could try to loan.
