The curtain has risen on the national team commitments in this new seasonal window, beginning on Wednesday with the first official matches. On the field were the young players, namely Bartesaghi-Zeroli for the Italy Under 19’s and Simić for Serbia Under 19's. In the same competition, it was the opening day of the Elite Round for the 2024 European Championship qualifiers.

The Azzurrini played from start to finish, participating in the 3-1 victory in Lignano Sabbiadoro, which saw them overcome Scotland, already placing them at the top of Group 5 alongside the Czech Republic. Kevin Zeroli unlocked the match, scoring his first goal for the U19 National Team with a close-range touch after the goalkeeper's short clearance. Jan-Carlo also had full playing time, but it was a negative afternoon against Denmark: a 1-3 defeat in Tábua at the start of Group 4.
