Fabrizio Romano reports that Zenit St. Petersburg have enquired about French striker Alassane Pléa from Borussia Mönchengladbach and that talks are ongoing.
Pléa has a contract with the Bundesliga side until 2023 and this summer presents a final opportunity for Die Fohlen to receive a transfer fee, otherwise they risk losing the Frenchman on a free transfer if they are unable to reach an agreement over a contract extension.
The 28-year-old has played a bit part role under Adi Hütter this season, playing just 965 minutes across 18 Bundesliga games, scoring three goals.
