Current Zenit and former Bordeaux attacker Malcom was interviewed by footmercato.net and, once again, discussed the his near arrival at Roma.

The Brazilian was on a flight to the Italian capital to complete his move to the Giallorossi, howevrr, Barcelona came in at the last minute and ultimately won the signature of the attacker.

”I wasn’t involved with the negotiations (between the clubs). I was happy to go to Roma, but President Stéphane Martin didn’t let me join because Barca made a high offer to Bordeaux,” said Malcom.

“It was my dream — they knew it. Along with the president, I therefore chose Barcelona. I will never forget my time at Barcelona with the best players in the world“.
