Zenit defender Lovren coy on Salah contract news at Liverpool

Zenit St Petersburg defender Dejan Lovren is tightlipped on what he's heard about Mohamed Salah's contract talks with Liverpool.

he Reds have extended the contracts of several players in recent months, but Salah is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal unlike many of his team-mates.

And when asked during a Twitter Q&A when Salah would sign a new contract with Liverpool, Lovren simply replied with two zipped mouth emojis.

Lovren also offered his thoughts on the 'disrespect towards' Salah when it comes to 'major awards', saying: "Not surprised. But that's life, we move on. He knows that."

Lovren and Salah are good friends and won the Champions League and Premier League together in 2019 and 2020 respectively, before the Croatian moved on to pastures new.
