Zamalek booked their place in the CAF Champions League final as a 3-1 win over Raja Casablanca set up a shot at Al Ahly for the continental title.
Armed with a 1-0 lead from the first leg, thanks to Achraf Bencharki's header, five-time African champions Zamalek were given a fright in Wednesday's return game but a late double from Mostafa Mohamed sealed their passage.
Ben Malango fired a 22-yard strike, helped by a deflection, into the bottom left corner to give Raja Casablanca the lead two minutes into the second half, levelling the tie.
However, Ferjani Sassi put Zamalek level on the night and back in front on aggregate with a clever finish on 61 minutes, a strike with the outside of his right boot from the edge of the box that found the left corner.
Mohamed nudged the hosts 2-1 ahead on the night in the 85th minute with a terrific header, before grabbing his second three minutes later as defenders stood and watched him fire home.
This second-leg game had been twice postponed because of a coronavirus outbreak in the Raja ranks, and the recently crowned Moroccan champions now bow out.
Zamalek can prepare for an all-Egyptian final at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria on November 27 against an Al Ahly side who saw off Wydad Casablanca in their semi-final.
