Inter Primavera beat Lille 3-1 in the round of 32 of the UEFA Youth League and go through to the next round with a spectacular performance. Spinaccè was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half, with Mosconi making it three in the second half. The Nerazzurri dominated for most of the match, but found themselves up against a Lille side that never gave up and scored a consolation goal in the final minutes with Lachaab. Zanchetta's team will now have to wait for the draw, which will take place on Friday 14 February at 13:00 CET to find out who their next opponent will be.
Inter started the match at full speed, almost taking the lead in the 2nd minute with Mosconi, whose header was saved by goalkeeper Merzouk. The Nerazzurri continued to press and in the 15th minute, Alexiou tried his luck with a header, but failed to hit the target. In the 17th minute, Calligaris made an extraordinary save on a sure-fire attempt by Diaoune. Zanchetta's boys continued to press and in the 21st minute Venturini, with a powerful right foot, went close to scoring with a shot that went just over. After a few minutes, it was again Diaoune who tried his luck for Lille, but Calligaris blocked the ball without difficulty. Then Spinaccè took centre stage: in the 32nd minute, the Inter striker produced a masterpiece, taking advantage of a cross from Zanchetta on the left and scoring a fantastic goal with a back-heeled volley that gave Inter a 1-0 lead. They doubled their lead just three minutes later: Mosconi shot from the edge of the box, the Lille goalkeeper failed to hold on to the ball and Spinacè was quick to pounce on the loose ball, scoring and achieving his personal brace. Lille tried to react and in the 45th minute as Faiz came close to scoring, but Calligaris once again did well to deflect it for a corner.
In the second half, the Nerazzurri managed their lead without giving up the search for a third goal. In the 54th minute, De Pieri tried with a dangerous left-footer, but Merzouk deflected it for a corner. The 3-0 goal came in the 58th minute: Spinaccè, dangerous as always, shot on target and the French goalkeeper's inaccurate save fell to Mosconi, who coolly scored Inter's third goal. Lille tried to react: Faiz tried to surprise Calligaris with a venomous attempt that went just wide. In the 69th minute, Akale attempted a spectacular acrobatic move, but he too failed to find the back of the net. The Nerazzurri came close to making it four in the 80th minute, when Romano, with a curler from the edge of the box, sent the ball very close to the top bin. In the final minute of stoppage time, the visitors scored a consolation goal: Lachaab played a good one-two and, with only Calligaris to beat, scored the final goal to make it 3-1.
