Youssouf Ndayishimiye (25) has been a big miss for OGC Nice. Since suffering a thigh injury on 7th March, Nice have won just once and have lost three out of their five games, seeing them go from UEFA Champions League qualification contention and into sixth.

However, speaking at a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Francesco Farioli revealed that Ndayishimiye could return when Le Gym face FC Lorient on Friday.

Sanson available, despite missing training

Ndayishimiye returned to first-team training this week. We need him to get back to his best shape but he could play a part against Lorient,” said the Italian. His return is a big boost for Nice, who have struggled greatly in his absence.

There was a scare surrounding the fitness of Morgan Sanson, on loan from Aston Villa, after the Frenchman missed Wednesday morning’s training session, however, Farioli revealed that his workload is simply being managed. He too is expected to feature against Les Merlus. Sofiane Diop is out until the end of the season, whilst Valentin Rosier will also be absent from Friday night’s game.
