LaLiga basement dwellers Almería snatched a shock draw against Atlético de Madrid, coming from behind twice to secure a vital point.

Atlético started in razor-sharp fashion, as Correa volleyed home a cutback from Reinildo within the opening minutes of the game.

Despite sitting dead last, Almería scored a shock equaliser with a smart finish from Luka Romero, who struck a low, hard effort into the bottom right corner from outside the box.

Normal service seemed to have resumed in the second half as Rodrigo De Paul put Atleti once again in the driving seat, with a fine solo effort nestling into the bottom right corner.

However, the home side shocked Diego Simeone’s men once again as Romero bettered his first-half strike with an outside-of-the-boot effort which found the top right corner, beating Jan Oblak at his near post.

The home side managed to hang on for a priceless point meaning they are now five points off of 19th-placed Grenada.

Atleti on the other hand remain in fourth, having failed to gain ground on 3rd placed Girona.
