Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Charleroi are set to sign Jakob Napoleon Romsaas. The 21-year-old striker is set to join the Belgian side from Eliteserien side Tromsø. The forward is set for his medical with the Pro League side tomorrow ahead of his move. It has not yet been disclosed how much the transfer is costing the Zebras or how long Romsaas will sign for. The rumour is that it will cost Charleroi around €1.5m. His current deal in Norway was set to run until 2028.
Valued at €1.8m by Transfermarkt, Romsaas has scored one goal in eight appearances this season. The U21 international had a decent season last year, with four goals and four assists in 29 league games, having scored six in 20 the season prior. He also scored a goal during the sides Conference League qualification campaign, although the side did not qualify for the tournament proper. Charleori are hopeful that they can go on better and qualify for the tournament this season, having beaten Antwerp to secure the final European ticket.
In Nikola Stulic, Charleroi finally had a striker score double figures for a long time. However, they still need depth should Stulic get injured or be lured away this summer.
