A spot in the final is at stake! After winning the title in 2017 and making the final in 2022, our Young Bulls are determined to make the final of Europe's most important youth football tournament for a third time! Sportklub Trabzon lie in their way - who qualified for the UEFA Youth League as Turkish youth champions and knocked out several big-name clubs along the way.
The moment of truth in the semi-finals comes this Friday afternoon - 25 April 2025 in Nyon, where the match kicks off at 14:00 CEST in Centre sportif de Colovray – in the shadows of UEFA's HQ.
It will be exciting to see which set of youngsters can triumph in a neutral venue, as just like our Young Bulls, Trabzonspor had home advantage all the way through the knockout stages. That was some advantage too - with 40,000 fans coming to Trabzon's Papara Park Stadium for their quarter-final clash against Inter Milan.
Our Young Bulls' coach Daniel Beichler faces the challenge of having to do without numerous key players for the Final Four. Kenneth Tejiri, Enrique Aguilar and top goalscorer Phillip Verhounig are among those out injured, while several key players like Edmund Baidoo, Joane Gadou, Valentin Sulzbacher and Tim Trummer are busy with our first team in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga title battle.
Our boys have shown numerous times this season that they can cope with absences, however, and have plenty of quality in the squad to rival the side chasing the Turkish U19 Süper Lig title in an all-or-nothing battle, The winners after 90 minutes (and a penalty shoot-out if necessary) will go into the final on Monday 28 April at 18:00 against the winners of the other semi-final clash between AZ Alkmaar and FC Barcelona.
We are offering – like for every UEFA Youth League match of our Young Bulls - a free RBS TV live stream as well as live text updates on our website and app. The game will also be broadcast on Sky Sport Austria and by DAZN in Germany.
They knocked out three Italian teams this spring, and that speaks for itself! They were all close matches, and they have the quality to win those kind of matches. They are an extremely determined team and have incredible team spirit. They have a few similarities to Olympiacos and Atletico, and they have some very dependable attackers. We are well prepared, and for us it's all about being active right away - no matter what the opponents do - and showing our dominance. With our idea of football, we want to make clear at the start that we are going out to win the match. If you are in the semi-final, then reaching the final has to be the aim. We will do everything to achieve that and are looking forward to it getting going on Friday!
