Young attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is now eligible to appear for Inter in the Champions League.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the 17-year-old now meets the UEFA requirement of having been within the Nerazzurri’s youth system for two years, and is eligible to be included in a Champions League squad.

Carboni is growing in stature within the Nerazzurri’s youth ranks, having been one of the main men as the Primavera team won the Under-19 Scudetto last season.

The young Argentine made his senior debut late against Roma yesterday evening, although so far he has largely still been used within the youth setup.

Carboni had not previously been eligible to play for the Nerazzurri in the Champions League, as he had not yet been owned by the club for two years.

However, the two-year anniversary of the 17-year-old joining Inter’s youth ranks has now passed, meaning that he could be eligible to play in the Champions League for the club.
