Neymar Jr. is one of the best footballers on the planet but he’s also one of the best at marketing his image and maximizing his earning potential.

Of course, Neymar makes a substantial salary from Paris Saint-Germain. According to Capology.com, Neymar earns a weekly gross salary of €705,385, which is the highest of any PSG player.

In addition to his salary, Neymar also works with several partners that you can see on his official website, NeymarJr.com. Nike, Beats By Dre, Mastercard, Red Bull, and QNB are all companies that work closely with the Brazilian superstar.

Those companies, as you can see from the image above, tap into Neymar’s substantial social media following. On Instagram alone, Neymar boasts more than 131 million followers, which makes him the third most followed footballer behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Having that many followers can be a lucrative business. According to research from OLBG (via The Sun), Neymar has the potential to earn £425,000 per sponsored post on Instagram (nearly €500,000)!

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree either. OLBG also estimates that Neymar’s eight-year-old son, Davi Lucca, could make his own money based on his 1.4 million followers.

The big payday that Neymar is looking for this season is not from Instagram posts but from a UEFA Champions League title. Paris Saint-Germain begins the knockout phase of the tournament against Borussia Dortmund on February 18.
