FC Barcelona continued on their winning run in La Liga as they beat RCD Mallorca last night to remain in control of the league race by adding another 3 points to their tally.

The Blaugranes created a plethora of chances, but were able to score only a single goal in this match as Dani Olmo scored right at the start of the second half.

However, it was a different player that the Mallorca coach, Jagoba Arrasate, highlighted for his performance as he talked to the press after the game.

As SPORT has reported, the Spanish tactician was left deeply impressed by the performance of Pedri, who was once again excellent for Barcelona last night.

The Mallorca coach did not hide his admiration for the Canarian in his press talk, and confessed that he has not seen a player like him in some time:

“When you watch Pedri, you analyze him and enjoy it on TV. But then you see him playing against you and you just want him to stop. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a midfielder like that.”

This is definitely some memorable praise for Pedri, but Arrasate was not the only individual who was left in awe of the Spanish midfielder, as he once again won the Man of the Match award.

With this performance, the Canarian once again showed that he remains a vital part of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona team, as without him, the team simply does not fit together and perform at the same level.

For now, the Canary Islander has another big challenge awaiting him, as he faces Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. However, keeping in view his performances so far this season, there is no reason to doubt he will once again be decisive for his side in this crucial match.
