We now know all Premier League clubs for the 2024/25 season.
Sunday saw that list of 20 completed.
Southampton defeating Leeds at Wembley.
So the Saints come up along with Leicester and Ipswich.
Meanwhile, Burnley, Luton and Sheff Utd go down.

Talk about Newcastle United as the most northerly outpost…
It could have been a fair bit better, if say Leeds (190 miles round trip) had got promoted and Burnley (235 miles) and Sheff Utd (271 miles) had survived. However, things couldn’t really have gone any worse for Newcastle United fans. Although the 499 miles round trip to Luton, where you get a handful of away tickets, is no loss.
So a few bits of analysis from above.
Number of miles to go there and back from SJP to the 19 Newcastle United away games in 2024/25 Premier League – 9,425 miles
Average round trip – 496 miles
Number of round trips under 280 miles – None
Number of round trips less than 300 miles – One
Number of round trips less than 400 miles – Six
Number of round trips over 540 miles – Eleven!
Of course, this is before we factor in all the additional stuff, as Newcastle United are handed ‘helpful’ dates and times due to broadcasters moving matches…
