Tensions spilt over between Jordan Ferri (31) and Yann Karamoh (25) during Montpellier HSC’s training session on Wednesday.

According to Midi Libre, at the end of the session, Ferri and Karamoh began to argue in front of the spectators present. This rapidly descended into a physical altercation between the players with teammates having to step in to separate the two and diffuse the situation.

Yann Karamoh’s struggle to settle into new side

It was a situation that perhaps speaks to the difficulties that Karamoh has had in settling into his new side after he was loaned to the club from Torino on deadline day. The forward has yet to start outside of the Coupe de France and has been limited to bit-part appearances at the end of games.

However, it also highlights the growing tensions within a squad that has struggled this season and is well aware that they sit 15th in the table and are within the relegation zone’s grasp if results do not soon pick up.
