Barcelona head coach Xavi has this week spoken out regarding the futures of two headline members of his squad.
The pair in question? Ronald Araújo, and João Félix.
Both stopper Araújo and frontman Félix have of course seen their names situated front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital ahead of the summer.
As much comes amid claims that the former’s sale is being taken into serious consideration amid ongoing efforts to raise funds, whilst Félix is yet to convince the Barcelona brass of extending his temporary stint with the club beyond the close of the campaign.
Speaking in his latest press conference ahead of an upcoming meeting with Almería on Thursday night, the subject of both players’ futures, in turn, was put to the aforementioned Xavi.
And his replies, as per Diario Sport, are detailed below:
“I speak with Ronald very often. He knows perfectly well what I think of him and I always talk to him sincerely and honestly. He knows what I expect and wish for his future.”
Turning attentions towards the on-loan Félix, the Blaugrana headmaster continued:
“He has helped us a lot, but he has competition. Raphinha is at a great level, as are Robert and Lamine. He has been important and has to be until the end of the season.”
