RB Leipzig have confirmed that Xavi Simons’ shoulder injury is not as bad as first feared.
Simons was substituted late on in Leipzig’s defeat to Manchester City this week having fallen on his right shoulder.
There were fears that the youngster could have suffered serious damage at the Etihad.
But the German side have allayed fans’ fears with the news that an MRI scan conducted on Wednesday night has given the Netherlands international the all-clear.
Leipzig insisted Simons would be back available “soon” however it seems unlikely that the PSG loanee will be fit for their game with Heidenheim on Saturday.
