On loan from Paris Saint-Germain, Xavi Simons has performed exceptionally well during his loan spell with RB Leipzig. Consequently, European clubs may inquire whether the Ligue 1 side will consider a sale.
The Dutchman draws interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, and Inter Milan. However, RB Leipzig wants to try their hand at keeping the player at least for another season on a loan deal.
Furthermore, it appears that Simons is open to remaining in Germany for another campaign. Sky Germany reports that Simons wants to stay at RB Leipzig for another season. As a result, negotiations will have to occur between Leipzig and PSG.
Arsenal is at the forefront of potential suitors and is ready to pursue Simons. The Gunners have recognized Simons’ versatility, given his ability to play in multiple positions on the field.
Pending PSG’s acceptance of a sale offer, the Premier League club could be the leading contender to secure his signing. Simons has scored seven goals and registered nine assists in 27 appearances in all competitions this 2023-24 season.
