Barcelona head coach Xavi has tonight provided an update on the personnel situation in his squad.

This comes after the Barca faithful were forced to sweat over the fitness of yet another pair of headline players.

En route to the Blaugrana’s hard-fought downing of Mallorca, first, during the first-half, Raphinha limped out of the action with what appeared to be an ankle problem.

Then, post-match, Lamine Yamal – fresh off netting the only goal of the game – was also seen limping, on the back of a heavy challenge late on.

Speaking to the media a short time ago, the subject of the latest injury concerns in his squad was in turn put to the aforementioned Xavi.

As much of course comes just four days out from the club’s crunch Champions League Last-16 2nd leg showdown with Italian champions Napoli.

It will therefore no doubt come as a source of relief for all associated with Barcelona to hear that, in fact, neither Raphinha nor Lamine appear to have picked up any lasting damage.

“I don’t think any player was injured today,” Xavi confirmed.
